A new business in Jefferson is offering a way for people to try out their services for free this summer.

Gravitate Coworking, located on the downtown square in Jefferson, is hosting a series of Free Coworking Thursdays from now through the end of August. Owner Geoff Wood invites anyone to try out their facility for free.

“The idea of Free Thursdays is just to give people a chance to experience what a coworking space is and what a coworking community can be. So anybody who’s curious about coworking Gravitate, stop in on Thursday, it’s free for the day.”

Wood explains the concept of coworking and how their business provides that kind of environment.

“Coworking is simply just the idea of people who are working independently having a chance to work together. So you may work for a different firm, or company, or whatever then the people who is sitting next to you in the space. But you still have a professional work environment and “coworkers” who are the people around you to have that community with.”

Wood believes that as the pandemic subsides and more people are getting back to their normal lives, they will need an area to do their work. He adds during the Free Thursdays, everything that would be included in a membership with Gravitate would be offered for those individuals who want to try it out.
