adm-7

ADM Tigers softball knew they were going in for a tough hard fought battle on Wednesday night against the Huskies of Winterest, as two of the top three teams in 4A battled. A home run from Lauren Carter turned out to be the difference as Winterset won to split the season series 1-0. ADM moves to 21-7 and Winterset to 29-6 in a tremendous matchup that saw both pitchers put up great numbers.

Aliya Yanga and Thea Banning were both tremendous, Yanga giving up one run and four hits while striking out six and Banning giving up zero runs, six hits, and striking out six as both were able to keep two talented offenses at bay.

The Tigers were able to get runners on base in five of their seven innings at the plate, but couldn’t push across any runs as Banning kept getting out of innings. Ella Grossman was able to record two hits for the Tigers.

ADM will be looking to break their two game losing streak at home tonight against the Carlisle Wildcats, as another ranked opponent appears on the schedule for the Tigers.
