The Guthrie Center School Board approved hiring some new high school coaching positions at their meeting Monday night. a new head and assistant softball coach and head and assistant wrestling coach Tuesday night. 

Jen Policky was hired as the new Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School Varsity Head Softball Coach, along with assistant softball coach Barb South. Lane Rumelhart was hired as the new high school head wrestling coach, along with assistant coach Kris Lehman. 

The Board also approved monthly financials as presented. 

Then the Board tabled the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress Review because the state has not finalized their results and will revisit the topic in August.  

The School Board approved new options for milk and bread such as Anderson-Erickson for milk and Martin Brothers for bread. Also, they approved EcoStruxure Upgrade in software for air conditioning units, new formatting to the high school handbook and painting new lines in the parking lot.
