ADM Tigers softball was looking to return to the state championship game after winning on round one Tuesday, but ran into a hard hitting Western Debuque team on Wednesday, falling 8-1 in Fort Dodge. Western Debuque will move to the championship game tomorrow against Boone while ADM will be playing in the third place game against Winterset.

Addison Banse was able to provide the power in the third inning, hitting a home run to give the Tigers an early 1-0 lead. After that, it was all Bobcats, as they were able to score eight unanswered runs and dominant the rest of the game. Banse was able to tally two hits and Olivia Tollari was able to grab two hits as well, as both tallied the four ADM hits on the afternoon.

Aliya Yanga was sharp early, but found trouble in the middle innings, as she left after three plus innings, and was tagged with the loss.

Tomorrows game between ADM and Winterset will be broadcast on True Country K1079. First pitch is expected to be thrown at 3:30, with this game being the rubber match after the two teams splitting the series during the regular season.
