When preseason football camp for Greene County football players starts on Monday, head coach Caden Duncan and his staff likely won’t be too worried about the kicking game. Sophomore Nathan Behne went 29 of 31 on extra point tries as a freshman in 2020, and after growing at least four inches and gaining weight, he is working at his craft to be even better.

“This Summer I’ve been going to a lot of kicking camps all around the United States. I’ve been to two in Milwaukee, one in Tennessee, and I’m going to one in Des Moines (tomorrow). He’s attended several camps run by former Iowa State University kicker Jamie Kohl, and Behne talks about the rating system Kohl uses for kickers. “You get ranked from one to five stars (five is the highest) and right now I’m sitting around a three to four star.”

Behne is that rare five sport high school athlete with basketball in Winter, both soccer and golf in Spring, and baseball in Summer.
