For a popular trail in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area, the journey toward national recognition is officially underway.

People can now vote for the Hall of Fame of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, and one of the finalists is the Raccoon River Valley Trail. The voting period runs until August 6th and those participating can vote as many times as they want, and as often as they can.

The Raccoon River Valley Trail is one of three rail trails in the country that have been entered into the running for the Hall of Fame nomination against New Hampshire’s Northern Rail Trail and Deleware’s Georgetown-Lewes Trail and Junction and Breakwater Trail.
