Greene County Medical Center recently updated its visitor policies and procedures.

The guidelines for acute care, emergency departments, as well as clinics, oncology, outpatient services and surgery are as follows: only one visitor per patient is allowed, pediatric patients may have two parents or guardians in the room when in acute care of emergency department, visitors may stay in the room with the patient at all times, same visitor must continue to be with that patient during their stay, no one under the age of 18 is allowed to visit and visiting hours are reduced to 7am to 8pm.

Designated visitors must be free of any signs of illness and those individuals at high risk for severe disease should not visit. Masks will be required to be worn at all times, visitors must wash their hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the patient’s room. All visitors will also be screened when entering the medical center. 

These visiting changes are subject to change.
