It’s Greene County at Des Moines Christian School in Urbandale tonight to start Class 2A District 8 football. The Rams are 2-1 and coming off a 13-3 victory at home vs. Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) while the Lions lost at Guthrie Center last week to ACGC by a 42-12 final.

Both teams have shown the ability to score points, although the Rams have given up fewer than the Lions. Greene County goes into district play with an offensive average of 34 points and a defensive average of just under 11, while the Lions are scoring at more than 29 points and giving up 32 per contest.

Coach Caden Duncan’s team has made no secret about winning a district title outright is among their major goals for the season, so a victory tonight would be a big first step in reaching that goal.
