Guthrie County Hospital has recently announced limiting COVID-19 tests due to high demand.

Guthrie County Employee Health Infection Coordinator Sandy Atkinson says there have been supply chain issues in getting testing supplies due COVID-19 still being rampant. She says they have been limiting the amount of people they are testing to maintain a good supply. 

“Some of those screening tests for those who are otherwise healthy or have been vaccinated and exposed, and they just want to know ‘Hey do I have (COVID-19) do I not have this’ we are actually asking those folks to go out to public health.” 

Atkinson states that they are keeping a number of COVID-19 tests for emergency uses or for patients needing to be admitted to the hospital.
