Greene County Public Health has announced this month’s vaccination clinics.

Director Becky Wolf says they will offer the COVID-19 and influenza vaccines at every clinic through early November. All three COVID-19 vaccines will be available, including Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson, along with the Pfizer booster shot and the flu vaccine. Wolf reminds everyone about the importance of getting a flu shot.

“Just like with the COVID vaccine, the influenza vaccine, our goal is to get as many people vaccinated to prevent them from having severe illness and pneumonia. Tens of thousands of people every year die because of pneumonia-related to the influenza.”

The clinics will be held at public health at the Greene County Medical Center Thursdays on October 7t, 14th, 28th and November 4th from 1-4pm and Tuesdays on October 19th, 26th and November 2nd from 9am-noon. There will also be a drive-thru clinic at the Greene County Fairgrounds from 4-7pm on October 20th. Appointments are required by contacting the public health at 515-386-3228 or you can register online by clicking the link below.
