Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls cross country were on the course up in Fort Dodge on Thursday in a loaded field, and both teams were able to get some great marks with the boys getting 5th and the girls 10th, and senior Aiden Ramsey winning the boys side.

Ramsey was tremendous for the Mustangs side, as he was able to beat out top runners in all classes in the state with a time of 15 minutes and 29 seconds, a mark that was 9 seconds faster than the second place runner. Sophomore Tate McDermott was able to finish in 22nd with a time of 16 minutes and 29 seconds.

The girls were able to grab 4 different runners in the top 50, lead by senior Hannah Little who was able to grab a 43th place finish with a time of 20 minutes and 35 seconds.

The Mustangs will have the weekend to quickly gear up for the Little Hawkeye Conference race in Pella, with that event happening on Monday at Central College.
