The Panorama Panthers Volleyball Team headed to Woodward Tuesday to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks and fell short in three sets.

As the season continues the Panthers went into last night’s matchup with an overall record of 6-14 and 3-4 in conference play while the Hawks entered the matchup with an overall record of 7-17 with an impressive 7-1 West Central Conference record.

The Panthers were looking to improve their record but lost set one 25-18 then lost set two 25-14 and finally set three 25-14 to drop the match. The Panthers fell to 6-15 on the season and 3-5 in conference play and the Hawks improved to 8-17 overall with an 8-1 conference record.

Defensively sophomore Tyme Boettcher led the way with 13 digs and four assist blocks with one solo block. Panthers junior Jazmyn Sellers had eight digs with three assist blocks and one solo block and sophomore Jaidyn Sellers also chipped in defensively with three assist blocks and three solo blocks.

On the offensive side of things Jaidyn Sellers led the way with six kills and Jazmyn Sellers and Grace Webner contributed three kills each and Jasmarie Flanery and Tyme Boettcher both added one kill a piece throughout the match.

While the Panorama Panthers Volleyball Team fell to 6-15 on the season they will be preparing for their next match this week when they take on the number one team in the West Central Conference in the Des Moines Christian Lions who currently sit at 32-6 overall with a 9-0 conference record. The Panthers and Lions will face off tomorrow at Des Moines Christian High School in Urbandale beginning at 7 p.m.
