A program that is being offered by Dallas County Extension and Outreach for women interested in beef cattle production, the registration deadline is soon. 

The Boots in the Barn program is a four-part series which will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. November 2nd to 23rd at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel. The registration fee is $25 and the deadline to register is October 26th. The program will include evening meals and resource manuals. 

The focus will be on production topics and some of those topics include animal health, nutrition, managing the birthing process and animal selection. The program can also be tailored toward participants’ interests.
