For one major project in the City of Perry progress is continuing to be made despite some hiccups due to the coronavirus pandemic.

City Administrator Sven Peterson says contractors are keeping busy with the wastewater treatment facility improvements including working on the outfall pipe for the plant. Peterson says the contractors have multiple projects going.

“As all other things that we are dealing with, the contractor is also dealing with some supply chain issues so they kind of are bouncing around to different projects as they get materials for different areas of the site. I think they have three or four active areas that they can work on as they get materials.”

Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio despite the supply chain issues the contractors are not behind schedule on completing the project but they are making the necessary adjustments along the way.
