The Round of 16 Iowa High School Football Playoff game in Jefferson this Friday night pits two of the top Class 2A teams and their offenses against each other. It’s OABCIG at Greene County from Linduska Field in Jefferson. Both are 8-1 on the season coming off one-sided first round playoff victories. The Rams are ranked as high as third in the polls and the Falcons are fifth.

Greene County head coach Caden Duncan comments about the contest. “I’d expect it to be a pretty good game. They have one of the most explosive offenses in the state, as do we, and both teams play pretty stout defense. I believe they are the leaders in 2A in pass attempts on the year, so they still throw it around, just like they have in the past. They come out of that tough district to the north, so they play at lot of quality teams and came out on top in a lot of close games.”

Fans are reminded tickets to the game must be purchased in advance through the Iowa High School Athletic Association website. QR codes will be posted at the Linduska Field gates for fans who don’t have tickets, so they my purchase them on site with a smartphone.

The game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage at 6:15 p.m. Friday and kickoff at 7 o’clock.
