For the Panorama Panthers girls and boys basketball teams their seasons continued Friday night with a double header against the visiting Madrid Tigers.

For the Panthers girls team they headed into Friday night’s matchup after notching their first win of the season against the Mount Ayr Raiders earlier in the week by a score of 57-25 with Payton Beckman and Laci Rishel both scoring double digit points against the Raiders.

The Panther girls went into Friday’s game looking to improve to 2-0 on the young season and did so in a dominate fashion winning 62-17 against the visiting Tigers. The first half the Panthers put up 41 points and went into halftime up 41-4. The Panther girls improved to 2-0 on the season.

During the game senior Payton Beckman took the number one spot all time in 3-pointers made in their career at Panorama with 145 3-pointers made taking the number one spot from her sister Bailey Beckman who now is number two all-time with 144 3-pointers made.

For the Panorama Panthers boys basketball team they went into Friday’s game looking to pick up their first win of the season after they lost a close matchup earlier in the week to the Mount Ayr Raiders by a score of 54-53. The Panthers boys had three players score double digit points against the Raiders.

For the Panthers they took on a Madrid Tigers team who was looking for the second win of the season as they came into Friday’s matchup with an overall record of 1-1 on the season. The Panthers boys dropped another close game as the visiting Tigers beat the Panthers by a score of 57-54.

The Panorama Panthers boys and girls basketball teams will look to continue their seasons today when they take on the IKM-Manning Wolves with the girls tipping off at 1 p.m. and the boys beginning their game at 2:30 p.m.
