Friday meant the second basketball games of the season for the Paton-Churdan teams, but the first on the road. The Rockets played Coon Rapids-Bayard in Coon Rapids with the home team winning both games. The CR-B girls won 59-18 and the Crusaders took the boys’ contest 60-39. Both P-C squads are 0-2 on the season and 0-2 in Rolling Valley Activities Conference play.

The P-C girls had eight points from Emma Stream and five each by Hannah Behrens and Carmyn Paup. The Rockets were six of 44 shooting from the floor.

On the boys’ side, Shaydon Thurman and Justin Stream each scored 10 points for the Rockets. Bradyn Smith and five rebounds and five assists.
