The Guthrie County Supervisors recently approved a 28E agreement for Guthrie County to take over Audubon County Public Health services.

Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber says they have been providing Audubon’s public health services for the last six months as a trial. He believes the transitions  has gone really well.

We’ve been able to influence a lot of things for them and take care of a lot of things, their home health structure, all of the COVID testing, working with the hospital on, you know, all kinds of things, from sexually transmitted diseases to just creating a healthier county as a whole health equity and looking at their community health needs assessment and what they actually need.”

Audubon County agreed to pay $75,600 to Guthrie County Public Health, as part of the 28E agreement, along with taking over all of the grants Audubon County Public Health would be eligible for.
