Friday, January 7th

1:28am: An officer located an Open Door at 610 North Elm Street. The officer secured the business after checking inside the business.

12:23pm: Valarie Levy spoke to an officer about a possible “No Contact Violation.” The officer is investigating.

12:34pm: A caller advised of a careless Driver on 220th Street, heading west into Jefferson. The officer followed the reported vehicle through town, but did not witness any infractions.

2:14pm: Maria Quintero reported a Civil Issue occurring with a cell phone in Jeferson. The officer advised her to speak with an attorney.

3:19pm: Dalton Weber requested a Welfare Check on his child at 206 North Oak Street. The officer spoke with the mother and child, the child was fine.

5:22pm: A caller reported a male walking along 220th Street, near Grimmell Road. The officer spoke with the subject and learned he was walking to work and was fine.

5:46pm: An officer responded to a Car vs. Deer Accident on 270th Street, a mile west of Jefferson. The officer stood by until a deputy responded to investigate the accident.

7:16pm: Brandon Bride spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue.

8:43pm: The Super 8 Motel reported an Audible Alarm sounding at 1805 North Elm Street. The officer found the business to be secure and contacted a Key Holder.

Saturday, January 8th

9:25am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Drive. The business was secure, and a Key Holder was contacted.

9:51am: Alexandrea Hand reported that her vehicle’s tire was slashed while parked at 777 Wild Rose Lane on 01/07/2022. She offered the officer a name of a male subject she had problems with at the casino before her tire was slashed. The officer is investigating.

9:54am: A caller advised of a vehicle being towed by another vehicle on 220th Street, heading west into Jefferson. The vehicle being towed was reported to be throwing sparks from underneath. The officer located the reported vehicles at 606 Hwy. 30 East and spoke with the drivers. A bolt had come out, allowing a tow bar to drag on the road. Repairs were made before the vehicles left on their way.

1:37pm: The A&W Restaurant requested an officer at 300 North Elm Street for an Unruly Customer. The officer spoke with the male customer and assisted him in setting up a ride back to Story County.

2:54pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Central resulted in Michael Lee Eastman, 48 of Jefferson being arrested for, “Driving While Barred – Aggravated.”

4:33pm: A resident caught a Stray Dog in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

4:34pm: An Animal Call in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street resulted in Bryant Margetta of Jefferson being cited for, “Animal Running at Large.”

4:39pm: Lois Strawn reported falling victim to a Phone Scam. She had followed the orders of the caller to purchase Gift Cards and provide them the numbers off of the back of the cards. She reported the loss of $1000.00. These cases cannot be investigated, and residents are reminded not to become involved with transactions over the phone with Gift Cards.

4:57pm: Marlene Anderson spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Property Dispute occurring at 604 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer advised her to speak with an attorney.

7:26pm: Dispatch advised an officer of a 911 Hang Up call that mapped at 1007 West Wall Street. Before the officer arrived at the address, the subject called back and advised it was a Pocket Dial and no assistance was needed.

8:22pm: Zach Waters spoke with an officer in connection to the Civil Issue occurring in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. He was advised to speak with an attorney.

Sunday, January 9th

2:37am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 500 Block of North Olive Street.

4:51am: ER reported an elderly female walking around outside of the facility at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street. She was believed to be related to a patient who was brought there by ambulance. The officer later located the female at her residence and found her to be fine.

9:37am: A Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Cody Warrick of Boone being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

10:47am: Tina Green reported she had not seen her neighbors in several days, but can see a cat inside the residence. The officer made contact by phone with the resident and learned a family member was going over and taking care of the animal daily.

3:06pm: After an attempted Traffic Stop in the 400 Block of East Monroe Street, the driver fled from the vehicle and entered a residence at 405 East Monroe Street. The officer requested assistance from deputies. The homeowner gave permission to search the residence for the male. The officer located and arrested Rickie Eugene Tuhn, 60 of Jefferson for, “Driving While Barred – Agg.”

3:08pm: Karen Rigley requested a Welfare Check on a female family member at 517 North Olive Street. The officer spoke to the female, who was fine.

3:20pm: Vanessa Stevens spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring in Jefferson with an ex-boyfriend.

10:17pm: Hope Malone requested an officer at 708 West State Street for a Domestic Situation occurring with her boyfriend. The officer arrived and made contact with the couple. The officer mediated for the male to leave the residence overnight and allow thing to cool off.

11:58pm: Tom Ganoe spoke with an officer in connection to problems with a family member at 502 South Cedar Street. The officer gave him some possible solutions to the issues.
