A local non-profit organization will continue their annual food drive during the football season. 

Guthrie County New Opportunities Director Rhonda Huggins says they are gearing up to do their food drive and asking for soup during the professional football playoffs. Huggins explains why they chose to highlight soup for their food pantry.  

“Soup is always one of the staples in our food pantry that you know, you can make a meal out of a can of soup and some bread and peanut butter for instance. So we do like to get the community involved and have them donate cans of soup.”          

For those interested in donating there will be locations to drop off items at the Guthrie County State Bank and New Opportunities Office in Guthrie Center from 9am until 3pm Monday-Friday from now until February 18th.
