The city of Stuart is starting up a coed adult softball league for any skill level to come join.

Organizer Tim Young explains that he recognized the city of Stuart had the facilities to start an coed adult softball league and then got the idea approved by the city council. He felt like it was a good way to bring the community together.

But you know, I hope this will help encourage people not only to get out and have fun, strengthen the community, but, you know, just get out and get active and, you know, move around.”

Young says that the league will start on July 25th and end in late August with a day of registration on July 11th from 6:30 to 7:30pm at Jim Kloewer Field. He says the feedback from the community has been awesome.

“And it’s really exciting because, you know, the steam that we’re getting right now, you know, it’s funny, I thought we were only going to be able to maybe field four teams this year, but now we’re looking to possibly expand on our first year to six teams just to not leave anybody in the dust.”

Young adds that there will be a draft to improve parody within teams. For anymore information about the league visit here
