The Perry City Council approved a pay application for the wastewater treatment facility improvements at their regular meeting Monday.

The Council approved the pay application in the amount of $778,051 to Woodruff Construction. Also, the Council approved a pay application for phase one of the relocation of Runway 14/32 in the amount of $217,299 to Wenthold Excavating, LLC.

The Council then approved an agreement with First Children’s Finance to provide consulting services to the City of Perry for the Rural ChildcareMarket Study grant at a cost of $15,000 and authorizing the mayor to sign and accept the Iowa Economic Development Authority award of $600,000 for a downtown housing grant project located at 1203 2nd Street.

Finally, the Council approved awarding a quote for the 2022 crack sealing project to Parking Lot Specialties for the amount of $47,550 and setting a time and date for Trick or Treat from 6-8 p.m. on October 28th, accepting a storm sewer easement within the City of Perry for storm sewer that was found to not have an easement and authorizing the sale of unused and outdated equipment.
