The last name Kinne holds a special place to sports fans here. Going back to the late 1980’s and into the early 2000’s, siblings Kristi, Kyle, Samantha, and Reed, were multi-sport athletes for the Jeffettes in Kristi’s case, and for the Rams for the other three. All were successful individually and from a team standpoint.

The next generation of Kinne’s arrived when Kyle and Amanda’s son Kadrick, played in the line for the 2019 and ’20 Rams, making playoff runs both years. Now, its younger brother Kamden’s turn. Because of injury to a teammate midway through last season, he started at left tackle as a freshman from game five on. As a sophomore, he’s one of two returning starters, along with junior Noah Cornell, in the offensive line.

Kinne told Raccoon Valley Radio he’s been in the weight room a lot, and he is noticeably bigger and stronger. “I don’t want to get pushed around like last year,” he said. Kinne added he’s not the only one that’s been hitting the weights. “We have a lot of guys that have been in the weight room and you can see the difference it’s made.”
