While most high school football teams in Iowa will open their seasons tomorrow night, ACGC and Greene County will have Saturday night all to themselves, at least in our area. Linduska Field in Jefferson has some issues with sod that was put down in June, so the game will be played at Ogden High School at 7 o’clock Saturday night.

Both teams had just two losses in 2021. ACGC fell twice to Class 1A State Champion Van Meter, but won every other game. The Rams lost in Guthrie Center in overtime last season, then won eight in a row until falling in the second round of the 2A playoffs to OABCIG (Ida Grove).

Both teams had significant graduation losses, but both feel they’ll have successful 2022 seasons.
