Dallas Center-Grimes boy and girl basketball will hit the road for a doubleheader tonight.

First, the (10-2) Lady Mustangs will touch the floor against Pella looking for their fourth straight win over a Little Hawkeye opponent but they will have to knock off the Dutch that are on a six game winning streak and are (9-2) on the season. The Dutch rely on their senior point guard Kylie Tauke who averages near 13 points per game and has scored double-digit points in her last five games. DCG have a pretty good forward in Emma Miner who is scoring 16 points per game and coming off a nice performance against Pella Christian having 20 points and five steals. Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has ranked DCG girls basketball as the number one team in class 4a. Tip off will be at 6:15pm at Pella High School.

The Mustangs boys basketball team will be trying to get rid of the feeling of losing two games in a row. After their two losses to Indianola and Pella Christian and now they will face a Pella Dutch team coming off their own loss to Indianola. It’ll be (6-4) Pella Dutch led by Junior forward Luke Hardman versus the (6-3) Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs led by guard Jonthan Howard. The game will start following the girls basketball game.

Raccoon Valley Radio will broadcast both game live on KDLS-2 which can be found here.
