Dallas Center-Grimes varsity basketball teams get both victories in a girl and boy doubleheader in Grinnell 0n Friday.

The Mustangs girls basketball teams were eager to bounce back after a loss to Ankeny on Tuesday and they focused in on Grinnell. DCG got up early at the end of the first quarter 27 to 15 and maintained that lead t0 halftime 42 to 25 and for the rest of the game. The final score was 69 to 40. The highlight of the night was Kayla Reis hitting six three points which was one shy of the school record she set (7). Reis ended with 20 points and Emma Miner added 11 points. Dallas Center-Grimes remains undefeated in conference play (8-0) with a (12-3) record.

Dallas Center-Grimes boys basketball team also got off to a hot start and found themselves up 26 to 9 with great shooting from Jonathan Howard. DCG would carry a 20 point lead into halftime, 42 to 22. The Mustangs would not let up in the second half and collect a conference victory 55 to 37 over Grinnell and move to (3-3) and overall record of (8-4). Jonathan Howard scored 14 points and Tate Perrin also had 14.

DCG boys basketball will take undefeated Grand View Christian at 3pm in the Gilbert Showcase today.
