The Business Record announced this year’s recipients of its “Forty Under 40” and Chris Deal with Modus Engineering was one of the honorees. Besides running an engineering firm, Deal was instrumental in helping in restoring some of the buildings on the downtown square in Jefferson, including the upper story apartments above Warm Wishes and Gravitate Coworking. Among other organizations Deal is a part of, he also serves with the Bringing Optimism and Opportunities to Students and Teachers (BOOST) of Greene County, which has raised over $300,000 in five years for the teachers and staff of the Greene County School District.

The Forty Under 40 are selected by the previous award winners, who are under the age of 40 and have exemplified an impressive career with achievements and community involvement.

Deal will be recognized along with the other recipients at a ceremony on March 30th. Since 2000, Business Record has named 960 award winners.
