The Stuart People Active for Library Service (PALS) want individuals from the community to participate in their upcoming event.
PALS member Carol Brewer says that they are looking for bakers to make dessert bars for their second annual “Bar Crawl” challenge, along with people to come in and taste test the treats. She mentions that they also have a voting system set up, and explains how it works.
“Every single person that comes in the door, the bakers, the public, everyone gets one free ticket, and that ticket is for voting. You’ll take your tickets, and when you test the bars, you will go back into the area where the bars are and put your ticket in the little cup beside the bar (you want to vote for).”
Fellow PALS member Kathy Johnson says that individuals may also purchase more tickets, with one for $0.25 and five for $1. The event itself is free to attend, and when it is over, plates will be made with a variety of leftover bars, and individuals may purchase them for a free will donation. Brewer explains that they already have five bakers, and are looking for at least 10, but will take as many as they can. The Bar Crawl will begin at 10am on July 27th, and to register individuals may do so at the Stuart Public Library or call them at 515-523-2152.
