Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is celebrating an employee within the Perry School District.
High School Principal Brad Snowgren is one of the five recipients for the Outstanding Alumni Award at the DMACC VanKirk Academy. Director Eddie Diaz tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he nominated Snowgren thanks to his dedication to education and contributions to the Perry community. Snowgren illustrates that he is truly grateful to be considered for the recognition.
“Gosh, I guess it’s just humbly that you’d be nominated and your peers nominate you, and think you’re doing such a good job. It’s again, pretty humbling.”
Snowgren obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts in 2000, then according to Diaz, went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and master’s degree from Viterbo. DMACC will hold a private dinner and ceremony for Snowgren, and the other four nominees, on October 15th.
