A reminder that today the Carnegie Library Museum in Perry is hosting a special program focusing on a foreign beverage.
The public is welcome to the “Tea Parties: Past and Present,” event this afternoon from 1-2pm. Perry Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer explains that historians from Urbandale’s Living History Farms will be present to discuss the origins of tea, its growing popularity, plus all the different manners of servicing the drink. Farmer illustrates that the presentation will include teas from all around the United States and England. She expresses that the program is free for people of all ages.
