
Paton-Churdan and CAM played a Rolling Valley Activities Conference girl/boy basketball doubleheader in Anita on Friday night with CAM winning the girls’ game 52-27 and the home team won the boys’ contest by a 60-52 final.
Maddie Richter had 23 points for CAM and the P-C girls were led by sophomore Alyvia Smith with 18 points. CAM led 27-15 at intermission. The Cougars are now 9-8 while the Rockets fell to 1-16.
Junior Phoenix Hartman and sophomore Trevon Keely each scored 16 for the Rockets, who fell to 6-11. Kinnick Steimel added eight points with five from Bryce Stephenson. Unofficially, Hartman led the Rockets with nine rebounds. CAM is now 7-10 and they had 21 points from Collin Bower. CAM led at halftime, 28-19.
