An annual event is soon coming up for the Perry community involving a sweet treat.
The Perry Chamber’s 22nd Annual Chocolate Walk is happening this Saturday from 10am-3pm. According to Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, the event will have local businesses opening their stores to customers, while also giving out free chocolate treats. She shares that 20 organizations are participating in total, including five new ones this year, and explains the event offers people a way to venture around the community to visit new places.
“You buy a ticket and then that is your passport to then get free chocolate at each location, but it’s just a fun way because maybe it’s a shop that you’ve never even heard of, or that you’ve never been in, or it’s been a while. This is kind of your ticket, your passport in, and you will hopefully be looking around and shopping while you’re there as well.”
Pasutti acknowledges that people will be able to get one piece of chocolate from each business and that the chamber normally sees between 150-200 participants every year. She says that tickets can be purchased online for $10 and to buy tickets, click here.
