
Jayettes surrendered seven runs in the first as they fell 10-5 to Grand View Christian in Perry Monday night.
The Thunder are making a name for themselves in their first season in the Heart of Iowa Conference as they maintain a top three position with their win. Perry got off to a horrendous start after seven runs were scored by the visitors in the first. GVC added two more in the fourth to extend their lead to nine. The Perry offense was too late as they fell 10-5.
Taryn Nehring had three to lead the Jayettes including a double.
Freshman, Chloe Cox, picked up the win going six 1/3 innings. Tina Kanealy went the distance in the loss.
The defeat drops the Jayettes to 3-3-1 (3-3). Perry travels to Monroe to face the 4th ranked Mustangs tonight at 7P.
