The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team went to extra innings in both games of the double header versus Bondurant-Farrar, each grabbing a win on Monday.

The Tigers would drop the first game 7-5 in nine innings, but avenged it during the second game, picking up a 2-1 victory in eight innings. In game number one, ADM would take a 5-2 lead into the top of the seventh, where Bondurant-Farrar would manage to score three runs to tie the game at 5-5. From there, the game went into extra innings and in the top of the ninth inning, the Bluejays would capture two runs to proceed to a 7-5 win.

Tiger starting pitcher Grant Jansen would complete five innings, allowed five hits, two runs, walked five batters, and struck out four, but was given the loss.

Game two was a lower scoring affair with Bondurant-Farrar getting the 1-0 lead in the top of the third, before ADM tied it in the bottom of the fifth with freshman Ben Grife. Similar to the first matchup, the game would go into extra innings, but in the bottom of the eighth inning, sophomore Tyler Kneip popped a ball up by the third base line, which dropped fair, and allowed freshman Alex Jensen come in from third to give the Tigers the 2-1 victory to split on the night.

Winning pitcher for ADM was senior Jaxson Book, who went 7.2 innings, allowed two hits, one run, walked five batters, and had nine strikeouts.

With the win, the Tigers get to 5-9 on the season, acquiring their first win inside the Raccoon River Conference (1-3), while the Bluejays fall to 8-5 overall (3-3 RRC). Bondurant-Farrar will host Carroll tomorrow, and ADM is welcoming in Winterset to Adel tomorrow at 6pm.
