A man died from an accident in Greene County Wednesday night.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says at 8:15pm, a deputy and himself, along with the Paton Fire Department, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue and Greene County Ambulance responded to the 400 block of R Avenue. Williams states that another farmer came to the residence and found a man trapped in an auger. 

Williams says the 78-year-old male was pronounced dead at the Greene County Medical Center. He adds that this was accidental in nature and out of respect to the family, he will not be releasing the name of the deceased.
