
The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys golf team found success on Monday in Fort Dodge, placing third as a team at the district meet to qualify for state. The Mustangs placed third with a team score of 298 strokes.
Gavin Drake lead the charge for DCG, in a three way tie for 10th in individual play with a score of 73 strokes. Chase Perrin tied for 13th with a score of 74 strokes with Drake Jordan just behind him in 16th with a score of 75 strokes.
Being the first fall sport to qualify for state this year, DCG boys golf makes the journey to Hyperion Field Club in Johnston on Monday and Tuesday, October 13th and 14th for the Class 4A state golf meet.
