Oct. 10th

Leah Hannah, Waukee, was traveling south on Alice’s Road at Hwy 6 when she attempted to turn right onto Hwy 6.  She went over the median and struck a car driven by Trevor Thompson, Albia.  This caused another collision with a car driven by Eric Ooms, Des Moines.  No injuries were reported.  Damage to Mr. Ooms’ vehicle was estimated at $4000.  Damage to Mr. Thompson’s vehicle was estimated at $10000.  Damage to Ms. Hannah’s vehicle was estimated at $20000.   Mr. Thompson was cited for Failure To Provide Current Proof Of Financial Liability.  Ms. Hannah was cited for Failure To Carry Registration Card, Expired Registration, Failure To Provide Current Proof Of Financial Liability and Failure To Maintain Control.

Ann Hardisty, Panora, was traveling in the 25000 block of El Paso Ave when she went into a ditch and possibly rolled the vehicle before she drove through a farm field and back onto El Paso Ave where she stopped the vehicle.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $18000.  Ms. Hardisty was cited for Failure To Maintain Control, No Insurance and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.  She was also arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.

Cohle Fees, age 25, 1501 N. 11th Ave Newton, was arrested for Possession Of Controlled Substance.

Heather Smith, Adel, was driving in the 27000 block of Hwy 169 when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000.

Carolyn Allsup, Winterset, was driving in the 33000 block of Ute Ave when she hit a deer.  The vehicle had an estimated $15000 damage and was towed from the scene.

Oct. 11th

Joanne Eigsti, age 40, 911 Dewey St, Perry, was arrested for Driving While License Denied Or Revoked.   She was also cited for Driving While License Under suspension and Operation Without Registration Card Or Plate.

Chad Visser, age 49, 3929 2nd Ave, Des Moines, was arrested for Driving While Barred.

Jayden Day, Perry, was driving in the 25000 block of Hwy 169 when he struck a deer.  At the time, he was driving a city of Perry car.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $500.

Aaron Holm, Boone, was traveling on I80 near the 110 mile marker when a semi, driven by Catesha Perkins, Florence, AL, tried to merge into the left lane.  This caused a collision with Mr. Holm’s car.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Holm’s car was estimated at $10000.  Damage to Ms. Perkins semi was estimated at  $5000.

Oct. 12th

Michelle Brant, Earlham, was driving in I80 near the 119 mile marker when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10000.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Daniel Hernandez, age 18, 2907 Warford St, Perry, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.   The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Michael McConkey, Waukee, was traveling on I80 near the 107 mile marker, when a vehicle driven by Murray Ramsey, Earlham, collided with the back of Mr. McConkey’s vehicle.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10000 to Mr. McConkey’s vehicle.  Mr. Ramsey’s vehicle had an estimated $5000.  Mr. Ramsey was cited for Failure To Maintain Control.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Oct. 13th

Jarahl Arnold, age 34, 1905 High St, Des Moines, was arrested for Possession Of Controlled Substance.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
