On Friday, the West Central Valley Wildcats football team wrapped up the 2025 football season traveling to Clarke Community High School to face off against the Indians. The Wildcats couldn’t hang on to the lead in the end, falling to Clarke 26-21.

Down 10-0 in the second quarter, Jarel Madison would score the first touchdown for the Wildcats, rushing in from 25 yards. With one minute left in the second, Colton Lindsay rushed in on his own to score the second touchdown for WCV to tie up the game 13-13 at halftime. Down 20-13 in the fourth, the Wildcats struck again, as Lindsay found Garret Wolfe in the corner of the end zone for his first passing touchdown. Not able to secure the extra point, the Wildcats kicked a field goal for their final points of the game falling to Clarke 26-21.

The Wildcats wrap up the 2025 football season with a 2-7 record, picking up wins against Nodaway Valley and Panorama.
