The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

The Board heard construction updates about capital projects, including the Secondary Roads Administration Addition, Dallas County Courthouse renovation project and evidence storage and firing range for the sheriff’s office.

The Board awarded a certificate of appreciation to Rob Tietz for his 10 years of service with the Finance/Operations Department. Other county employees recognized included Nathan Heath for five years with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Marla Williams for five years with the Emergency Medical Services department, Curt Cable for 10 years with the Conservation Department and Brad Kinzie for 20 years with Secondary Roads.

The Board also signed a Child Abuse Prevention Proclamation and heard the recorder’s request to use records management funds for a historical records project along with an update from the Emergency Medical Services department.

Items on the agenda that were approved include setting public hearings for the proposed fiscal year 2027 county budget presentation and board appointments to the planning and zoning commission.
