Both Mustangs soccer teams were in action Tuesday night, and both took on the Norwalk Warriors. The girls were at Norwalk and lost 2-0, while the boys hosted and won 3-0.

DCG girls’ soccer was ranked #1 in Class 2A and faced off against #4-ranked Norwalk. There was no score in the first half, but in the second, the floodgates opened up. The Warriors netted two goals and really controlled the tempo and possession to keep DCG down and take the first game of the season 2-0.

The boys had better luck in their contest. In almost the opposite fashion, all of the goals were scored in the first half in the boys’ home opener. All three of the markers were driven home in the early portion of the tilt, and the boys rode that momentum to a 3-0 win. 

The girls drop to 0-1 while the boys even their record to 1-1. Both squads will be in action next tomorrow.
