A non-profit organization in Greene County recently announced its next scholarship recipient for women who are continuing their education.

PEO Chapter CZ awarded Danille Curtis a $500 scholarship to help her earn a master’s degree in philanthropy and non-profit development from the University of Northern Iowa. According to Chapter CZ, Curtis is the Iowa Director of Midwest Mission and the Paton-Churdan High School graduate is pursuing her master’s degree to continue to grow in her position and increase the opportunities with the organization she works for that has a global impact with disaster relief.

This is the second scholarship that Chapter CZ has awarded this year, with the previous recipient being Amelia Johnson. She also received a $500 scholarship to assist with her education to get a certificate for massage therapy.

PEO Chapter CZ says these scholarships are to support local women or those who have local connections and are continuing with their education while in the workplace. The non-profit organization raises funds for scholarships through several projects during the year.
