Those looking to support the needs of persons with disabilities can attend a job fair tomorrow in Adel.

The Parish Advocates for Persons with Disability Committee from St. John’s Catholic

Church is sponsoring a job fair from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Adel Public Library’s Community Room. The committee says there is a significant shortage of workers to support the needs of persons with disabilities in Adel.

Area residents are invited to attend tomorrow’s event to hear a short presentation by several local agencies and then visit their tables as they share information about their services for persons with disability (respite, personal care, transportation) as well as employment and volunteer opportunities currently open.

The committee adds that everyone is welcome to attend the job fair, including those looking for a part-time or full-time job and hoping to make a difference in someone’s life, or those trying to navigate local care and transportation services for someone they know with a disability.
