The Perry Jayettes season comes to a close while the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs get one step closer to reaching their state dreams, as DCG defeated Perry in the girls soccer regional quarterfinals, 10-0.

The Mustangs had a hot first half, notching in six goals in the first 40 minutes of play. Coming back from the break, the Jayettes picked up the pace, but the Mustangs notched in four more goals to secure the 10-0 victory, while claiming their place in the regional championship.

For Perry, the Jayettes soccer season comes to a close with a 6-9-2 record and a trip to the regional quarterfinals. For DCG, their season remains alive, as DCG returns to the regional championship with the match up scheduled for Thursday at 7pm.
