The Panorama Softball Team was seeking their second victory on Tuesday, hosting Madrid in Panora, losing 8-4 but showed great resiliency.

The Tigers would capture the first four runs of the game through the initial two innings to grab a hold of a 4-0 advantage. However, the Panthers would get one run in the bottom of the fourth inning, then two more in the fifth to pull within one run, behind 4-3. Madrid tallied four more runs between the six and seventh innings, as Panorama would get one more, but was defeated 8-4.

The runs for the Panthers would be scored by senior Elah Molloy, freshman Alyssa Stanley, plus sophomores Andrea Knode and Emma Walker. Knode was the losing pitcher, going all seven innings, allowing 10 hits, eight runs, and garnered five strikeouts.

The Tigers improve to 6-1 on the year and will travel to Van Meter tomorrow for a matchup against the Bulldogs. The Panthers drop to 1-3 overall, and will welcome IKM-Manning into Panora tonight, beginning at 5:30pm.
