With the Dallas County Fair underway today in Adel, there will be plenty of 4-H related events happening tomorrow along with a new grandstand event.

Iowa State University Extension Dallas County Youth Coordinator Annie Schlieman says the first day of the 4-H/FFA Horse Show will start at 7:30 a.m. at the South Arena. She adds that the Dallas County Farm Bureau 4-H/FFA breakfast will follow  from 8-10 a.m. in the Entertainment Plaza, followed by the Clover/4-H/FFA Pet Show at 9 a.m. in the Livestock Arena at 10:30 a.m.

Attendees are invited to join the Adel Chamber along with the West Des Moines, Waukee, Grimes and the Perry Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the Dallas County Fair with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. The flag raising ceremony will follow at 5:30 p.m.

Dallas County Fair Board Secretary Sherry James details that the evening will wrap up with a new grandstand event. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the Monster X Tour Monster Trucks, with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. on the North Track.

Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live everyday of the fair from 10am-6pm. A link to the full list of events can be found by clicking here.
