Tomorrow is the second to last day of the 2026 Adair County Fair, and should be a busy one.
Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that there will be a free 4-H/FFA breakfast beginning at 7am, with the dairy and dairy goat show and Clover Kid cat show all starting at 8am. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that following that will be the cat show at 8:30am, and that beef exhibits will start after that.
“We do beef all throughout the day. Then we go in, we have our communications event midday. So if you’re looking to escape the heat, come into the 4-H building that starts at 1.30. And then we also have our livestock judging, Supreme Showman, and the Pie in the Face fundraiser.”
Savage mentions that the baby contest begins at 10am, with a hands-on farm activities demonstration at the Varied Industries Building from 10am to 2pm, pedal pull in front of the 4-H/FFA Center at 11:30am, and 4-H Communications events at 1:30pm. She adds that the Pie in the Face Fundraiser ends at 5pm, with the winners announced at 7:30pm at the Grandstand, and the night will end with the demolition derby as the Grandstand event.
