With the start of the 2026-27 high school football season, Chad Morton begins his (   ) year as a high school coach and teacher in Jefferson. He started in 200?-200? as the girls’ basketball assistant coach, then became head coach of the girls’ program for (    ) seasons. He’s coached other sports, too, and currently is the Rams’ boys’ head track & field coach, as well as an assistant to Caden Duncan in football. Chad is among the longest tenured coaches in the Greene County School District.

Chad and his wife, Deb, are parents to two grown men, Carter and Jackson. Carter is a top 10 track & field decathlete for the United States, and Jackson and his fiancee’ Carmyn Paup, live and work in Jefferson. The couple will be getting married later this month.
