An annual special event returns to the Adel Family Aquatic Center Friday night.

The Third Annual Corn Dive will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday. Aquatics and Recreation Supervisor Ramona Dillinger says the event is a fun way to help kick off the Sweet Corn Festival.

She adds that kids ages 5-12 are invited to participate in the Corn Dive for the chance to win prizes.

“This is an event where youth can dive down and retrieve ears of corn off the bottom of the aquatic center for a chance to win some free pool passes, free swim lessons and coupons for the 2027 concession stand season.”

She encourages kids to bring their swimsuit and their best diving skills to get ready for some sweet summertime fun.
