The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football Team is coming off a dominant win this past Friday against Winterset to begin the year, as Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch reveals his positive takeaways from the contest.

The Tigers defeated the Huskies 40-6 in Adel to improve to 1-0 on the season, under a younger squad. Winkowitsch shares that overall he is satisfied with the effort displayed by the guys, and despite the big victory, there are many areas that the coaching staff will be working on.

Winkowitsch notes that there were great plays made by all phases of the ball, ranging from offense, defense, and special teams. He praises the older individuals for being patient with the younger players.

“There were just some good things that I thought our young guys did a good job of. And I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that we’ve got a really good group of upperclassmen that have not only accepted those guys, but really help bring them along as well.”

ADM is preparing for their first road game this week, as the Tigers travel to Huxley on Friday to face off against the Ballard Bombers. Raccoon Valley Radio will have the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF.
