Registration is now open for the Adel Power Wheels Nationals, which returns for the fifth year later this month.

The annual event returns on Saturday, September 19 at Kinnick-Feller Park. The Adel Parks and Recreation Department says children ages 2-7 can bring their own Power Wheels, or can use one provided by a community sponsor. There will be different divisions for the races: limited pro stock (ages 2-4), pro stock (age 5-7), and outlaw (5-7).

Organizers add that Power Wheels will be given away on race day. To honor the fifth year of the event, an additional five Power Wheels will be given away for a total of 30. Every child who registers online will also receive a free T-shirt. 

 Pre-registration is available until September 7, though participants may still register on the day of the race. Races will begin at 11 a.m. on September 19. To learn more about the event, click here.
